Our client based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia are looking to recruit an Application Development and Delivery Manager for Online Banking and BPM. Salary TBC - But will be very competitive and will include accommodation, Private Medical, Bonus etc WebSphere Portal, IBM Lombardi, J2EE, Filenet, Online Banking, BPM This role may suit individuals who have held the role of Portal Development Manager, Portal Architect, Delivery Manager, Technical Solutions Architect, Portal Project Manager etc Job Requirement: Application Development and Delivery Manager Job Summary: Reporting to the SVP-Solution Support Manager, this key leadership role is responsible for managing and coordinating the resources and processes to deliver Change Requests (CRs) IT and Business initiatives, and projects while helping to define the vision, definition and strategy for the development team by driving initiatives that deliver on the Information Technology (IT) vision. Job Responsibilities: • Work together with team leads to plan and execute deliverables, ensure that teams have appropriate business requirements, direction, and resources to deliver CRs effectively by establishing realistic estimates for timelines while ensuring that initiatives remain on time to market delivery. • Track and report the status of deliverables of various teams, acting as a gateway through which work should be assigned to appropriate teams while ensuring that objectives and initiatives is adequately defined. • Demonstrate leadership abilities with the deployment of software enhancements and fixes that are coordinated based on release schedules. • Demonstrate a software plan that meets the future needs of our retail, commercial and government clients on technical challenges of industry demands. • Serve as the technical lead to Business Owners meetings related to Portals and Application area. • Helping developers resolve problems both technical as well as human resources issues, tracking and approving vacation and personal days for employees within their teams and monitoring individual employees' performance and relaying to Solution Support management. • Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to their optimum performance levels and career development. Job Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. • Minimum of 6 years of management/ leadership experience in a software development • Must have at least 4 years' experience working through the design, development, and release cycle delivering software to market. • Large/ enterprise application development experience preferred. • Strong understanding of the software development cycle. • Strong leadership, project management skills, time management, and problem solving skills. • Experience in computer programming using Java, J2EE, sharepoint, IBM Products (ILOG, BPMS, Websphere, Lombardi, and Filenet) .net or other web application frameworks. • Project management experience desired. • Be able to excel in idea generation, evaluation, and prioritization, customer and partner engagement, cross-functional technical program management and building/ developing great engineering teams. • Experience solving complex and large-scare software problems. • Experience in the development of software and hard work ware recovery automation tools a strong plus. • A record successful delivery of software systems as an individual, team leader and or/ development manager. • A willingness to dive into software environments and technical issues as part of maintaining the skills necessary to manage and advocate products and projects. • Strong Software and program management skills. • Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to get things done. • Excellent written and oral communication. • Experience in IBM Rational (CC, CQ, RequestPro, ..etc).
